It is highly recommended to check for tire wear every few months.  Tire wear affects the performance of your vehicle and your safety. Tire treads provide tires the ability to grip the road, accelerate smoothly, and brake quickly. This is why worn tires can be very dangerous on the road. When inspecting your tread, look for any cracks, nails, screws or glass that may be stuck in the tread. If you notice any problems, remove the tire, install the spare and it’s time to replace your tires.

Tire Rotation:

In order to ensure even wear on your tires, tire rotation should be done regularly or as scheduled to evenly distribute the wearing effects of each tire. Proper tire rotation will allow your tires to last longer and improve their performance. Your tires should be rotated approximately every 10,000 km.

Wheel Alignment:

It’s recommended to get your wheels aligned every 25,000 km. Misalignment of wheels can cause uneven tire wear. In addition, improper wheel alignment affects steering, turning, suspension and your tire’s performance.  With properly aligned wheels, driving will feel safer and you’ll have more enjoyable ride. If you notice any uneven tire wear, bring your vehicle in to correct any misalignment.
