In observance of and in the lead up to International Women’s Day this upcoming Friday, March 8th 2019, we will be sharing daily spotlights on some of the many hard working Women that help lead our industry! We are happy to kick-off our Mini Series with Kim Ostafiew, a super Parts Advisor at Destination Mazda Vancouver!
When it comes to constantly challenging how we do things, redefining and personalizing our own experiences, Kim Ostafiew is no exception! Behind the parts counter at Destination Mazda Vancouver you will always find a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual who effortlessly serves her guests. Customers, vendors and team members who need support with Wholesale, Counter Sales, Shipping and Receiving, Collision Link Aftermarket Program research and much more can rely on Kim, who puts trust and relationship building at the forefront. But it’s not always been that easy… “Some people are quick to judge a Woman’s role when it comes to our industry, which is why it’s so important to stay ahead of the curve. Pursuit of knowledge, a vision to achieve that knowledge, and growth mindset have enabled me to hit a good stride with Destination”. Kim started her career as a Parts Driver at Freeway Mazda. Her curiosity and persistence landed her a role as a Parts Advisor, through which she has learned the keys to managing inventory, fill rates and targets. She one day aspires to be an Assistant Parts Manager. As a woman in automotive, Kim strongly believes that self-confidence, open mindedness and a desire to continuously learn will result in new opportunities for growth and professional development, as it has done for her.
We are happy to announce that Kim will be celebrating her 8th year with Destination Auto Group and are excited to continue to see her growth and success in the coming years!
